Are your Medicines stacking up?

Last year, an estimated £20 million worth of medicines went unusued across the North East and North Cumbria - money that could have been reinvested into patient care and vital NHS services.  new campaign launched last week across NENC which aims to encourage people to 'only order what you need' when requesting medicines with a few simple steps:

• Checking cupboards before ordering prescriptions
• Only ordering what's needed - avoiding stockpiling medicines
• Checking prescriptions when they are collected from pharmacy, and handing back what isn't needed
